This doubling event is a national deal, but some stores may not be participating. It’s best to call your individual store and ask them if they are doubling. If they say they are NOT doubling, it might be in your best interest to stop in the store and try a transaction for yourself since staff sometimes isn’t informed about these events.

Rules/Limitations:

Manufacturer coupons up to and including $2 in value will DOUBLE on Friday, December 16th only. ($0.50 doubled = $1, $1 doubled = $2, $2 doubled = $4)

MUST be a Shop Your Way Rewards Member in order to have your coupons doubled. *I ALWAYS have the cashier scan my rewards card BEFORE she scans my items and coupons at the register. * You can learn more about the rewards program here.

$25 minimum purchase requirement in Drug and Grocery *cannot confirm, but this usually includes health & beauty, and pet items as well* Also, the $25 minimum is probably calculated BEFORE manufacturer coupons.*

Limit 5 coupons per customer per day *have not clarified if it is truly “per customer” or per Shop Your Way Rewards card, but I am assuming it’s per Shop Your Way Rewards card.

Limit 4 “like” coupons per transaction will be doubled. *Example: 4 AXE coupons, and 1 Schick razor coupon can be used in 1 transaction, BUT if you use 5 AXE coupons, only the first 4 will double.

Kmart does not give overage on an item. *Example: If an item is $1 and you have a coupon for $0.75 off, it will not double to $1.50, but will multiply to cost of item, which in this case is $1.*

This is what was replied to me by Kmart on their Facebook page when I inquired about the doubling promotion:

Participating stores only. Kmart will double manufacturer coupons with a face value of $2.00 or less. Limit 5 coupons per customer per day. Amount of credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the current retail price of a single item. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item. Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be doubled per item. You may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons. Excludes Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart Savings coupons and Kmart Store coupons. Coupons do not apply to sales tax. Offer excludes products prohibited by law, including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and prescription medication. Not valid on non-merchandise, federal or state regulated items, prior purchases, Lands’ End, Sears merchandise rung on Sears registers within Kmart and kmart.com. In the event of a return, coupon savings may be deducted from the refund. Exclusions apply.

EXTRAS:

This week only, receive $5 Kmart Gift card with any $50+ purchase! This should be pre-coupon total, so if you are looking to buy a fair amount of items, double check your total if you want the gift card.

Check the Kmart Savings Guide booklet (available at customer service counter, on racks near grocery, and at front of store with weekly ads) for store coupon for FREE Hershey’s Kisses (11oz) when you spend $25 or more in grocery, health care and/or beauty care. LIMIT 1. YOU MUST USE THIS COUPON FIRST WHILE YOUR TOTAL IS STILL OVER $25, OR ELSE IT WILL NOT WORK!

Shopping Trip Scenarios:

Scenario #1 – Schick Razors:

Buy: 10 Schick Disposable Razors @ $5.00 each

Buy: Hershey’s Kisses (11oz)

Buy: Additional item so that you are using 5 doubling coupons if you wish. Makes sense if you want to get one of the items in the match-up for free.

Total = $50 for razors, plus cost of additional items purchased

Scenario # 2 – Scott products:

Buy: 2 – Scott Flushable Wipes (51ct) @ $2.49 each = $4.98

Buy: 1 -Scott Paper Towels (10 mega rolls) @ $9.97

Buy: 1 – Scott Toilet Paper/Bath Tissue (Extra Soft, 24 Big Rolls) @ 9.97

Scenario # 4 – AXE Shower Gel/Detailer:

Buy: 4 Axe Shower Gel or Detailer @ $4.69 each = $18.76

Buy: Additional items to get your total over $25. You can use 1 more coupon to be doubled, so you can purchase something like Schick Quattro Razors @ $5 each and 1 Hartz Crunch n’ Clean Cat Treats @ $1.50.

Buy: Hershey’s Kisses (11oz)

***ALSO, Kmart has a deal listed in their monthly Savings Guide (can be found at customer service counter, near weekly ads, or near grocery items) that says, “Save $5 on the purchase of any men’s Joe Boxer product when you purchase any three (3) AXE products”. This could very well mean you can get a Joe Boxer men’s product for FREE assuming it is less than $5 . Discount SHOULD be taken off at register automatically.

Total: $18.76 for Axe, plus cost of additional items to get you over $25 (Schick Quattro Razors and Hartz Crunch n’ Clean Cat Treats bring total to $25.26) AND possible free Joe Boxer men’s product.

These are the scenarios my brain is currently allowing me to figure out. If I can think of any more scenarios, I will update this post. If YOU can come up with any, please reply to this post and I will review them asap.

I do believe the 5 coupon limit is per Shop Your Way Rewards Card, and not per transaction. So that we follow the guidelines, I will have my family/friends with me at the store and each will be trying 1 scenario mentioned above with their own rewards cards.
